Even the user interface is probably the best in gaming since XCOM Enemy Unknown. ![]() You play as Red, a singer in Cloudbank and experience one of the greatest combinations of art, music and gameplay ever. Transistor is a sci-fi action role playing game. Supergiant Games’ sophomore project, Transistor, manages to outclass the already near perfect Bastion in almost every way. Threes! is available on the App Store and Google Play for $1.99. You owe it to yourself to give this game a chance. None of the clones (which are all garbage quality anyway) hold a candle to the original. Threes! has been ripped off quite a few times across all platforms, including 3DS. The catchy music by Jimmy Hinson of Mass Effect 2 fame and the loveable voices of the tiles add up to make the game very homescreen worthy. The aim is to combine numbered tiles to form larger numbered tiles. It is beautifully designed and the gameplay is such that it lets you spend countless hours with it. Games like Monument Valley and Transistor prove how uniquely amazing games can be. 2014 also saw the continuation of the indie boom in gaming. 2014 has been quite a year for gaming with the PS4 and Xbox One completing one year and games like Bioshock and XCOM coming to iOS. While we are mostly app focussed here on Beautiful Pixels, every now and then, a game manages to really impress us. Select PUP and then the Del button on the DosBox screen when the BIND reads 'Key v.' V only has one command attached. If you see this, congradulations! When you run the game, you can check the ceiling for probes, Stromtroopers, switches, ect. For anything more complex check out the DosBox wiki or someplace similar. If the last line reads PageUp instead of Key v, try looking for it will the NEXT command in the DosBox. EVENT: and BIND: If you just used this walkthough selecting PUP will bring up this. Towards the Lower Left of the screen are two readouts. I personally find it simplier to pick keys that aren't used by the game than completely switch. To change that, you'd have to delete the v event from the v key. However, if something in the game was programed to the v, both the orginal command and the new command will be run. The DosBox will now treat the v like a second PageUp key. Select the Save box in the lower right part of the DosBox Just press the v key on your computer keyboard. ![]() Now, selct the 'Add' command on near the center botton of the display, red text will appear. It should turn green and new text appear near the bottom. Near the bottom of the DosBox window there will be a message 'Select an event to change.' Do not panic. This part of the guide will give instructions on how to reassign the LookUp command to the v key. It is fairly simple to use, but some Padawans learn by example. To bring up the Keymapper at any point in the game use Crtl+F1. Fortunately they can remapped using the DosBox Emulator that is running the game. The default controls are far from perfect. ![]()
